Police Cars now have digital video to use in court in case anything happens such as someone shooting at them, trying to escape or sues the policeman for unnecessary roughness, improper procedure or sexual harassment. Some modern technology is now reading license plates and sending in the information to a central computer to run the plates in case the car is stolen or the driver/owner has wants or warrants? Makes sense right? Sure it does, but why can?t I have something like this. You know when you take a beautiful road trip and it is hard to see every thing as you are too busy driving?
What if modern cars had an option of taking digital pictures every five to ten seconds as you drive, then if after the trip you could erase it or download it on a USB port to a memory chip then watch it on your computer and if you felt like it save some of the pictures of your trip. Or if you witnessed a hit and run, accident or something of this nature you have a record of it for police, insurance company or as proof of what happened?
How much would such an option cost? Well not much really, as it is only a digital camera mounted on your car with a hard drive type brain to it. Lets say $600-800 added to the price of your car or motor home. For safety we could put these on buses. Some trains already have such a system to prevent lawsuits to the railroad. Many NASCARs have full video to the TV while they drive. Military has such systems for their equipment so if all this exists, let us simplify it and put it in our automobiles. Think on this.
